November 2021

Free postdoc position in my Forest Genetics lab in Freiburg! The postdoc will be involved in the tropical tree phenology project and will also have the possibility to develop their own research project in the field of evolutionary ecology of tree species. Deadline for application is December, 6th.

Alessandro Mainardi has started his PhD on the (molecular) phenology of tropical tree species in Freiburg. He will now prepare for the first field season starting in February 2022.

October 2021

Sarina Thiel successfully defended her PhD thesis on “Patterns and drivers of vertical stratification in nectarivore and frugivore communities and their interactions with plants in Neotropical rainforests”. Congratulation for completing the journey and for a great defense! Looking forward to finalizing the publications soon!

September 2021

Starting October 1st, I will start my new job as Professor of Forest Genetics at the Albert-Ludiwgs-Universität Freiburg! I could not be happier and look forward to exciting science and teaching in Freiburg!

July 2021

Open Ph.D. position in the Emmy Noether project on Phenology of Tropical Trees in my new lab at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. The application deadline is July, 22nd.
